Member Spotlight: Cynthia Fyfe

This week we're featuring Cynthia Fyfe, a member of the current class of participants in our year-long mentorship program!
What is your favorite place in St. Louis and why? My favorite place in St. Louis would probably be either the St. Louis Zoo or the City Museum, just because both offer fun activities to do and interesting sites to see. My favorite restaurant would be Mellow Mushroom off of Lindbergh and 40.
How did you get involved in YNPN St. Louis? I got involved with YNPN because I wanted to network with people within the nonprofit sector.
Why have you focused your career in the nonprofit sector? I've focused my career within the nonprofit sector because I have a passion for helping others achieve their goals/dreams for their life.
What advice would you give to young professionals considering a nonprofit job? I am actually a young nonprofit professional looking for a job within the sector. All I would say would be to just "believe in yourself and do the best you can."
If you could host a talk show, who would be your first guest and why? If I hosted a talk show, my first guest would be one of my professors from the Lindenwood University Nonprofit Administration program as a way to highlight the various opportunities given within the degrees offered.
What do you hope to accomplish that you haven't yet? I hope to accomplish finding a career within the nonprofit sector within the next couple of months.
What has been your favorite YNPN St. Louis event and why? So far my favorite YNPN event was meeting my YNPN mentor, Jamie Vollmer, because I can tell the Mentorship program will be beneficial in the development of my career.
